Entering Mexico

On the 14th of November, we traveled from San Diego and arrived in Ensenada. San Diego is sixty miles from Ensenada. It is a day sail. It was cool, and we saw dolphins on the way to Ensenada. When we got there, we were tired. But we could not leave the Marina. Because we had not gone through customs yet. So, mom cooked dinner, and we watched a movie and had tacos. They were good tacos. In the morning, we went to customs and the port captain’s office. We stood in line for a long time and filled out forms. But finally, we finished and headed back to the boat. There are quite a few cruise ships in Ensenada, they come in and out every day. The next day we walked around town. We got churros with different dipping sauces. After that we found out that the Baja 1000 was happening. The Baja 1000 is a off road car race down the Baja coast of Mexico. It is a time trial. In time trials, you are trying to have the fastest time not pass everyone. The starting line is right next to the Marina. We went to the start line, and it was crazy. There were a lot of people revving their engines. There were also a lot of car fumes and loud music. But the cars were cool to see.
