Snorkeling in the Channel Islands

On October 5th, 2022, we snorkeled in cathedral cove on Anacapa island in Channel Island National Park. In the morning we anchored out in cathedral Cove. We got on the Dinghy and motored in closer to the shore. Then we jumped in with our wetsuits and snorkel gear and swam around. We saw a lot of fish and two bat rays. Cora, Luke and Mamie went in a cave and a sea lion charged at them. Then we got back on the Dinghy and got caught in the middle of a bait ball. there were so many birds and six dolphins circled us. It was cool. We went back to the Boat and went to Oxnard, CA. We saw a lot of dolphins on the way to Oxnard. They were amazing. We are also we’re called by the Navy to get out of the live Fire Zone but then they said we weren’t in the live Fire Zone. It was awesome and it was a lot of fun.
